Discovery $(WBD)$: Paramount executives and a coalition of states that sued to block the company's $81 billion merger with Warner have been working to agree a possible settlement. On the table: a $1.5 billion investment by Paramount in production in California, WSJ reported. Paramount stock jumped 5% premarket, while Warner gained more than 7%.
Société Générale (FR:GLE): The French bank said it is targeting cost cuts as part of a plan to boost profitability through the end of the decade, including widening its use of AI. Shares rose about 3%.
Coinbase Global (COIN), Robinhood Markets (HOOD), Strategy (MSTR): Bitcoin's surge to nearly $84,000-its highest level since January-is rewarding stocks tied to cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin-hoarding firm Strategy led the gains, rising more than 6%.
