Singapore Exchange to Roll Out New Disclosure Rules

MT Newswires09-24 13:40

Singapore Exchange (SGX:S68) said the Singapore Exchange Regulation will lay down new rules requiring enhanced disclosures among listed issuers regarding executive remuneration, dividend policies, and investor relations.

The new rules will take effect on Jan 1, 2027, according to a Wednesday filing to the Singapore bourse.

Under the updated framework, annual reports must describe the key financial and non-financial performance indicators used to determine the remuneration of executive directors and executive officers, and show how these metrics align with long-term value creation objectives.

Additionally, listed issuers will have to include their dividend policy, investor relations policy, and a description of any key shareholder engagement activities they are organizing within the year.

The first batch of annual reports required to comply with the new rules will be issued in 2028; however, the exchange encourages early adoption of the rules.
