SIA Engineering-Rolls-Royce JV to Sign MOUs to Boost Talent, Technology

Singapore Aero Engine Services, a joint venture between SIA Engineering Co (SGX:S59) and Rolls-Royce, will sign four memoranda of understanding to strengthen aerospace talent development and advance maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) technologies, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

The company will sign the MoUs with the Institute of Technical Education, Republic Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic and A*STAR Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre.

The partnerships are expected to support a pipeline of up to 200 trainee technicians annually as SAESL plans to hire more than 1,000 technicians over the next five years.

Separately, SAESL and A*STAR agreed to a five-year technology partnership through 2031 focusing on AI-native inspection, among others.
