Trump: Fake news media sue for White House access

Trump's Truth Social latest posts03:39

President Donald Trump posted on social media platform X on September 21 that CNN, Politico (which he said should pay back the $8 million contribution made by the U.S. government to keep it afloat), and MSNOW (formerly known as MSDNC) have brought suit to gain access to the White House and the President himself. Trump noted that the case is before Judge Tim Kelly, whom he appointed and who previously ruled in favor of Jim Acosta—though Acosta “now seems to have disappeared from the Planet.”

Trump argued that “Fake News people and publications that only write negatively, and who violate our National Security by writing false and defamatory stories with unknown ‘sources,’ shouldn’t be allowed access to the most important Office anywhere in the World.” He called them “Third Rate Clowns” who “purposefully distort, twist, and degrade with everything they write or publish.” Emphasizing his electoral wins—all seven swing states, the popular vote, the Electoral College (312 to 226), and 86% of counties—Trump said he still receives 94% bad publicity, adding that “the Media has NO credibility, and that is a very bad thing for our Nation!”

“Fake News is a threat to democracy,” Trump said. “I will do whatever is necessary to make sure that the U.S.A. thrives.” He indicated he would appeal any unfavorable ruling.
