Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Start Week Lower in Monday Trading

Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts opened the week lower in Monday trading, declining 0.4% to 2,984.3 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by used car marketplace Uxin (UXIN) and video-sharing platform Bilibili (BILI), which rose 4.2% and 2.7% respectively. They were followed by video display maker LG Display (LPL) and electric vehicle maker NIO (NIO), which were up 1.7% and 1.5% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by internet and digital services provider VNET Group (VNET) and semiconductor company Himax Technologies (HIMX), which fell 6.4% and 3.8% respectively. They were followed by online game developer The9 (NCTY) and solar panel maker JinkoSolar (JKS), which were down 2.7% and 1.8% respectively.

From South Asia, the lone gainer was pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which increased 2.2%.

The decliners from South Asia were led by lenders HDFC Bank (HDB) and ICICI Bank (IBN), which lost 2.6% and 2.1% respectively. They were followed by IT firm Wipro (WIT) and tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which dropped 1.8% and 0.6% respectively.
