Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) said its updated Two Mile Hill-Shillington mineral resource estimate now brings the total resource at the Sandstone gold project in Western Australia to 79 million tonnes at 1.4 grams per tonne gold for 3.6 million ounces, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The company said the indicated-classified component totals 30.4 million tonnes at 1.5 g/t gold for 1.5 million ounces, with the group-wide mineral resource estimate now standing at 110 million tonnes at 1.5 g/t gold for 5.2 million ounces.

The update does not include recent drilling and exploration success targeting the Shirvington Zone at depth, which intersected 53 occurrences of visible gold with assays still pending, the filing added.

The company said it will undertake regional exploration targeting new discoveries, with multiple Two Mile Hill analogues being advanced for upcoming drilling programs.
