SpaceX's (SPCX) xAI unit could more than double the Nvidia (NVDA) chips at its Colossus 2 data center cluster in Tennessee by the end of the year, SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk said in post on social media platform X on Friday.
Musk said Colossus 2 currently has 110,000 GB200 chips and 440,000 GB300 chips. Another 220,000 GB300 chips are expected to be operational next week; 220,000 more in November, and potentially an additional 220,000 GB300 chips by late December, according to the post.
