The 24-hour increase displayed on XRPScan's dashboard is 245.1%, but the absolute figure is about 323% higher than the 30-day baseline. In other words, XRPL has unexpectedly seen activity on a scale several times higher than usual, depending on the comparison point. Source: XRP LedgerIt's not immediately clear where the spike came from. Exchange infrastructure, wallet migrations, applications onboarding users, or general speculative activity can all lead to large account-creation events. The data by itself cannot determine the cause of the increase unless the entities responsible for the activations are identified. Largest surge in agesThough it is still below the displayed all-time high of 30,600 and the roughly 15,000 peak recorded earlier in 2026, the most recent 11,432-account reading is one of the biggest spikes seen over the past year. Additionally, the increase coincides with notable fluctuations in the price of XRP. After being constrained since late August, XRP recently broke above a declining resistance line. Before sellers forced it back toward $1.46, the breakout took XRP from about $1.40 to a local high of about $1.65. From a technical standpoint, that pullback now tests the breakout.The 200-day moving average is positioned somewhat lower near $1.36, while the former declining resistance is located between $1.39 and $1.40. The larger recovery structure is intact as long as XRP stays above this cluster. The first level that XRP needs to recover is $1.50 on the upside. The main resistance targets above it are $1.57 and the most recent $1.65 peak. Although the account-creation spike adds an intriguing fundamental element, it shouldn't be taken as a sign of bullish XRP demand.
