Veon (VEON) said Tuesday that its Beeline Kazakhstan subsidiary is collaborating with SpaceX's (SPCX) Starlink to provide connectivity to Kazakhstan customers in cellular dead zones.
The company said Starlink Mobile has been integrated into Beeline's Janymda app and will initially be free. The technology allows customers to maintain connectivity in areas without terrestrial mobile coverage, according to a statement.
Shares of Veon were up 3.7% in Tuesday trading.
