Direct Drive Tech (HKG:6731) entered into a cooperation agreement with China Rare Earth Group Innovation Technology, a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing showed.

Under the contract, the parties will form a mechanism for regular technical exchanges and the R&D of high-performance magnetic materials, the robotics technology company said.

The parties will further work on developing high-performance magnetic material products suitable for direct-drive motors, with a focus on performance optimization, motor miniaturization, and high-torque output.

The two companies will also work to boost domestic supply chain links from new rare earth materials to robotic drive components.
