Scorpio Tankers (STNG) has agreed to sell three product tankers for $180.5 million and buy four newbuilding vessels, the company said Tuesday.
Scorpio Tankers expects the sales to close before the end of the year.
The acquisitions consist of two scrubber-fitted LR2 product tankers and two scrubber-fitted very large crude carriers, the company said.
The LR2s are likely to be constructed at Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry in China for $72.8 million per vessel, with deliveries expected in October and November 2029. The VLCCs are expected to be constructed at Hengli Shipbuilding (Dalian) for $135 million per vessel, with deliveries likely in September and October 2028.
