Samsung Electronics, Five Affiliates to Invest $1 Billion in Helix Digital

Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) and five affiliates will invest a combined $1 billion in KKR-backed artificial intelligence infrastructure company Helix Digital Infrastructure, according to a Tuesday release.

The South Korean conglomerate said Samsung Electronics will invest $500 million, while Samsung C&T (KRX:028260), Samsung SDS (KRX:018260), Samsung SDI (KRX:006400), Samsung Life Insurance (KRX:032830), and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance (KRX:000810) will invest the remaining $500 million.

The investment is part of the group's efforts to accelerate global artificial intelligence data center deployment, expanding its role as an active architect of the global AI infrastructure ecosystem.
