General Motors' No. 2 executive shrugged off U.S. diesel-fuel prices that reached a record $6.52 a gallon last week, saying the runup was transient and demand for trucks with diesel engines remained strong.
"You look at diesel prices ... All I know is that, a year from now, it'll be different," GM President Mark Reuss said Tuesday at an event in Detroit. "And so, those are what people want, and that's what we're going to supply."
