Harmonic (HLIT) launched Recon, a network monitoring solution developed with Comcast (CMCSA) to help broadband operators detect and resolve network issues faster, the company said Wednesday.
The initial Recon offering uses Comcast's XMFR fiber monitoring technology, combining hardware, handheld tools and cloud software to monitor network performance, detect degradation or fiber cuts, and pinpoint faults.
Harmonic plans to expand the Recon product family as it grows its network intelligence portfolio, it added.
