Top cryptocurrencies fell Tuesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) still holding above $85,000.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell 0.4% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 gained 0.4%, the S&P 500 added 0.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.5%.
Bitcoin fell 0.1% to $85,612, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume dropped 21% to $25.3 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, declined 0.7% to $2,690.
XRP (XRP-USD) rose 0.2%, BNB (BNB-USD) dropped 0.8%, and Solana (SOL-USD) added 0.5%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) declined 1.5%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) rose 2.1%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 0.3% in the past 24 hours to $2.91 trillion, with trading volume dropping 16% to $73.05 billion.
