IShares US Energy ETF (IYE) and the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE) each shed about 0.8%.
Technology
The State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) was down 0.5%; iShares US Technology ETF (IYW) fell 0.6%, and iShares Expanded Tech Sector ETF (IGM) was 0.6% lower.
The State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor (XSD) dipped 2.1%, and iShares Semiconductor (SOXX) fell 1.6%.
Financial
The State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR (XLF) fell 0.6%. Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) declined 1.7%, and its bearish counterpart, Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ), climbed up 1.7%.
Commodities
Crude oil slipped 0.6%, and the United States Oil Fund (USO) shed 0.7%. Natural gas gained 3.1%, and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 2.8%.
Gold on Comex fell 1.3%, and the State Street SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) was down 1.5%. Silver fell 2.4%, and iShares Silver Trust (SLV) lost 2.6%.
Consumer
The State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR (XLP) was 0.3% higher, and the Vanguard Consumer Staples ETF (VDC) rose 0.4%.
The State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR (XLY) shed 0.4%. VanEck Retail ETF (RTH) was up 0.6%, and the State Street SPDR S&P Retail (XRT) was little changed.
Healthcare
The State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR (XLV) added 1.7%, while iShares US Healthcare (IYH) rose 1.5%, and Vanguard Health Care ETF (VHT) gained 1.4%. IShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was up 0.7%.
Industrial
The State Street Industrial Select Sector SPDR (XLI) dipped 2%. Vanguard Industrials Index Fund (VIS) fell 2.2%, and iShares US Industrials (IYJ) eased 1.7%.
Cryptocurrency
In midday activity, bitcoin (BTC-USD) shed 2.6%. Among cryptocurrency ETFs, ProShares Bitcoin ETF (BITO) fell 2.8%, ProShares Ether ETF (EETH) lost 4.5%, and ProShares Bitcoin & Ether Market Cap Weight ETF (BETH) eased 0.2%.
