Hong Kong's initial public offering market raised more than HK$388 billion in the first nine months of 2026, with 116 companies listing, according to a blog post by Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan.

The amount raised was more than double the total for the whole of 2018, Chan said, highlighting continued activity in the city's equity capital markets.

Chan said Middle Eastern investors have also increased their participation in Hong Kong IPOs over the past year, with some funds indicating plans to further raise their investment allocation.

Hong Kong's stock market recorded average daily turnover of HK$272.9 billion in the first nine months, up 6.4% from the same period a year earlier.
