Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) said an expanded diamond drilling program at its Boundiali gold project in the Ivory Coast confirmed that a gold mineralization system at BM tenement deposits remains open, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The latest drill intercepts at the BMT1 deposit include 29 meters at 2.08 grams per tonne grade of gold from 167 meters; 29.4 meters at 1.08 g/t from over 108 meters; six meters at 3.11 g/t from 186 meters; 22.6 meters at 0.78 g/t from 141.4 meters; and 12.6 meters at 1.06 g/t from 121 meters.
The company also reported intercepts from the BMT2 prospect, including 7.5 meters at 1.34 g/t from 84 meters and 9.5 meters at 0.94 g/t from 80.5 meters. The BMT3 deposit, meanwhile, returned intercepts including nearly six meters at 8.77 g/t from over 335 meters, among other results.
Aurum Resources is targeting the next Boundiali mineral resource estimate update early in the fourth quarter, with a definitive feasibility study expected late this year.
The company's shares rose 1% in recent Friday trade.
