Volkswagen's Work in China Will Allow it to Compete

Dow Jones10-13

0830 GMT - Volkswagen will now be able to compete and develop profitable products in China, having done extensive work with partners to take down costs and offer competitive products, J.P. Morgan analysts write. The bank expects Volkswagen's work in China will be visible in 2027. "In the words of VW Group CEO, Oliver Blume, they are now able to compete in the Champions League in China." Following a meeting at the Paris motor show, J.P. Morgan says the company was clear that it is expecting a strong fourth quarter, driven by Skoda, Audi and a robust product momentum offsetting a weaker third quarter, which was also impacted by the summer production shutdown. Shares rise 0.7% to 69 euros.
