Manulife Financial (MFC) has launched the Manulife Advisor AI Assistant, an artificial intelligence designed to provide underwriting guidance to advisers, it said on Wednesday.
The assistant provides AI-generated guidance drawn from content in Manulife's underwriting adviser handbooks to questions posed by advisers in plain language, the company said.
Manulife said it plans to evolve the assistant beyond underwriting guidance with additional knowledge areas and capabilities to support advisers across other aspects of the company's business.
