Neurocrine Biosciences' (NBIX) sales of its Vykat extended-release tablets for hyperphagia are likely to remain "flattish" in the near term, but could return to "some growth" over time, RBC Capital Markets said in a Tuesday note.
While the reported adverse effects have stabilized the past quarters, potentially declining a bit in Q3, a sharp growth in usage is unlikely in the near term, RBC noted.
Neurocrine Biosciences could spur Vykat's sales and improve compliance with optimized patient selection and management, possibly through better prescribing practices, according to RBC. Renewing commercial efforts should also help drive engagement and return to growth, the investment firm added.
RBC estimates Vykat's Q3 sales at $95 million and said it could exceed $600 million in 2030.
RBC has an outperform rating on Neurocrine Biosciences, with a $187 price target.
