India-based data center operator CtrlS plans to invest 100 billion Indian rupees to build a 150 MW AI data center in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a company statement.
The company previously invested 4 billion rupees in a 12 MW data center in Patna and plans to develop more than 20 edge data centers in smaller Indian cities over the coming years, the report said. CtrlS currently operates 19 data centers in India.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said in a post on X that a memorandum of understanding has been signed for the additional 100 billion investment.
CtrlS did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
