Pilbara Gold (ASX:PGL) reported drilling results at its 2.1-million-ounce Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia's Pilbara region, confirming broad, higher-grade gold mineralization across Main Hill, Breccia Hill, and Main Hill Extension, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Key intercepts include 19 meters at 2.62 grams per tonne of gold at Main Hill, 20 meters at 2.35 grams per tonne of gold beneath the existing resource pit shell, and 30 meters at 1.48 grams per tonne of gold at Breccia Hill, highlighting further potential for resource expansion at depth, per the filing.
The program also aims to upgrade resource confidence from inferred to indicated ahead of an updated mineral resource estimate and the maiden ore reserve estimate, both scheduled for completion by June 2027 as part of the pre-feasibility study, the filing said.
The company will finalize drilling results, progress resource estimation and analyze airborne electromagnetic survey data to identify additional exploration targets across the Greater Mt York area, the filing added.
