Deckers Outdoor (DECK) is expected to post in-line Q2 earnings results and reiterate its fiscal 2027 guidance, UBS said in a Wednesday report. The Q2 results are due on Oct. 22.
Channel checks indicate Hoka's Q2 US observed sales fell from a year earlier and slowed compared with Q1 trends, but other indicators, such as web traffic data, suggest actual Q2 sales trends were better, the report said.
"We don't expect DECK's 2Q report to change sentiment or the
stock's P/E much," the note said. "This is why we see a balanced upside/downside skew over the event."
Still, rising short interest since its Q1 results and the stock's underperformance against the S&P 500 suggest sentiment around the company leans bearish, the note said.
UBS reiterated its buy rating on the stock while lowering its price target to $140 from $161.
