Amazon.com (AMZN) partner Anthropic's investors are pondering a $1.5 trillion November IPO, scaled down from previously anticipated $2 trillion share offering, Reuters reported late Thursday, citing anonymous sources familiar with discussions.
Investors learned the AI-modeler's Q3 revenue jumped 45% from Q2 to $16.8 billion, and that Anthropic was profitable on an adjusted basis during the quarter, at the company's investor day on Wednesday in San Francisco.
While the investor day disclosures may have mitigated concerns about the cost of developing AI systems, some investors were cautioned by slowing sequential growth in Q3, as Anthropic's revenue previously had more than doubled to $11.6 billion in Q2 from Q1.
Anthropic did not immediately respond to request for comment from MT Newswires.
