Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Waymo is expanding its partnership with Element Fleet Management to support its planned autonomous ride-hailing launch in Toronto in 2028, Element Fleet said Friday.
Element Fleet will manage Waymo's Toronto fleet operations, including maintenance, charging and vehicle readiness, building on a partnership launched in June to support Waymo's San Diego operations.
The companies expect to create hundreds of jobs over time in fleet maintenance, validation driving, customer service and other operational roles, Element Fleet added.
