Alaunos Therapeutics (TCRT) said Tuesday it completed its acquisition of Velaris Therapeutics, a privately held biotech company developing treatments for pulmonary arterial hypertension and related cardiopulmonary diseases.

The company raised about $350 million in a concurrent private placement of Series C non-voting convertible preferred stock led by Fairmount.

Alaunos shares jumped about 225%, with intraday trading volume catapulting to over 211 million from a daily average of about 851,000.

Bumble (BMBL) said Tuesday it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Ithaca Holdings in an all-cash deal valuing the dating app at $1.3 billion.

Shares surged 56% as intraday trading volume soared to 85.3 million from a daily average of roughly 2.99 million.

BIO-key (BKYI) said Tuesday it signed up a new Middle East government security agency as a customer for its security platform.

Shares surged 78% as intraday trading volume jumped to more than 75.1 million, versus a daily average of about 2.81 million.
