Organigram Global is overhauling its business model to integrate its Sanity Group acquisition, targeting synergies and cost savings while cutting Canadian manufacturing overhead.

The cannabis producer said Thursday the unified operating structure will streamline Canadian manufacturing, eliminate duplication and shed lower-margin product lines to boost profitability and reduce manufacturing complexity.

Under the plan, Organigram expects savings to reach up to 6 million Canadian dollars (US$4.2 million) in fiscal 2027, and then to scale to an annualized C$8 million to C$10 million by fiscal 2028.

Organigram expects to incur C$2 million in one-time integration costs.

As part of the changes, Organigram plans to discontinue three secondary brands to concentrate resources on core labels Shred, Boxhot, and Big Bag O' Buds.

Newly appointed Chief Operating Officer Adrian Frenzel will head a centralized global-operations division overseeing production across Organigram's Canadian facilities and European distribution networks.

In August, Organigram said it would fast-track the full integration of Sanity Group, replacing a 12-month earnout period to link Organigram's Canadian cultivation and production capabilities directly with Sanity's European distribution footprint.
