SK Telecom (KRX:017670) said no specific plans were in place to secure an additional 5 gigawatts of AI data center capacity overseas, according to a Wednesday filing with the Korea Exchange.
The statement was aimed at clarifying the report, "SK Telecom Considers Securing Additional 5GW AIDC Capacity Overseas... Aiming to Become Asia's AI Infrastructure Hub," published by Electronic Times and other media outlets.
Shares of SK Telecom rose more than 3% in recent trade.
