Kantra Copper (ASX:KAN) advanced its Firehawk Prospect in South Australia to a drill-ready exploration target following the integration of airborne magnetic, gravity and induced polarization (IP) survey results, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The surveys revealed coincident magnetic and gravity anomalies adjacent to a strong IP response, indicating the potential for concealed copper-molybdenum-gold mineralization beneath shallow cover, per the filing.
A proposed five-hole drilling program will test the anomalies for a potential Delamerian porphyry system while exploring alternative mineralization styles and improving understanding of the local geology and structural framework, the filing said.
Drilling is scheduled for the first half of 2027 to align with the local agricultural cycle, the filing added.
