CoreWeave (CRWV) is looking to tap into insurers' capital pool to fund its artificial intelligence growth plans, the Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing CoreWeave co-founder Brannin McBee.
McBee said securing investment-grade ratings for CoreWeave's debt would allow the company to borrow funds from insurers, according to the report. He is also looking into getting insurers to purchase loans backed by lower-rated customers, the news outlet added.
Yields on a CoreWeave bond maturing in 2032 reached almost 15% Tuesday, increasing by about 1.5% over the last week, the Financial Times noted.
CoreWeave did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for a comment.
