0907 ET - Treasury yields edge higher but are on pace to end the week with a decline as markets increasingly price in an interest rate hold by the Fed this month. Chairman Warsh stops short of giving forward guidance, as officials head to the blackout period preceding the FOMC meeting. Inflation remains a concern in financial markets, but the risk of economic slowdown due to steep borrowing costs keeps a lid on yields. U.S. import prices rise more than expected in September. The 10-year yield is at 5.115%, compared to 5.086% yesterday and 5.243% a week ago. The two-year is at 4.768%, up from 4.747% yesterday and down from 4.789% last week.
