Stock futures were rising on Monday as tech clawed back some of its recent losses ahead of a week where the likes of Meta Platforms, Netflix, and Tesla are all set to report earnings.
The artificial-intelligence trade came roaring back. Chip maker Intel rose 3.7% and flash memory product supplier Sandisk added 3.4% ahead of the opening bell. Advanced Micro Devices, Coherent, Corning, Lumentum, Marvell, and Super Micro Computer Inc. were also rising.
CoreWeave advanced 1.6% in premarket trading. It plummeted 24% last week as yields on its debt soared, rattling investors because of how closely the cloud-computing company's fortunes are tied to the AI boom.
Tesla ticked up 0.3%. The electric-vehicle maker's shares dropped 2.1% on Friday, as even its flying car wasn't enough to lift the AI doom and gloom.
SpaceX stock was also up around 1% after Elon Musk said he would give one of his shares in the company to every child in America next year. "This will be the first of many," he said in a post on X.
Mercedes-Benz slid 0.8% after the German car maker expanded its partnership with chip maker Nvidia to develop next-generation automated driving systems. Nvidia climbed 1.3%.
Oil stocks were struggling as crude prices retreated. Chevron slid 0.5% and ExxonMobil declined 0.3%. APA Corp., Occidental Petroleum, and Phillips 66 also fell.
Steel manufacturer Cleveland-Cliffs and bank Fifth Third are set to report earnings on Monday.
