Veon (VEON) said Monday more than 11 million of its customers across Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Bangladesh have connected at least once to SpaceX's (SPCX) Starlink Mobile satellite service in areas beyond cell tower coverage.

Ukraine's Kyivstar launched the service in November 2025, Kazakhstan's Beeline in September, and Bangladesh's Banglalink this month, the company said.

The service is free for Kyivstar's roughly 15.5 million 4G smartphone users and free for an initial period in Kazakhstan, Veon said.

Customers can send messages, use apps and share location on their existing 4G phones outdoors when no ground signal is available, it said.
