Market Chatter: Skyworks Solutions Seen Undervalued as Qorvo Merger Offers Growth Potential

MT Newswires Live10-19

Skyworks Solutions (SWKS) remains undervalued following its acquisition of Qorvo (QRVO), with activist investor Starboard Value seeing significant upside from cost savings and growth opportunities, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

According to the report, Starboard sees growth potential from the companies' complementary product portfolios, at least $500 million in annual cost savings within three years, and operating margins of 30% to 35% in two to three years.

Skyworks agreed last year to acquire Qorvo in a deal valued at about $22 billion, as both chipmakers faced slowing growth after Apple (AAPL) shifted toward developing its own components, Bloomberg said.

Skyworks, Starboard Value and Qorvo did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
