Procter & Gamble Q1 Likely to Benefit From Improving Topline, UBS Says

Procter & Gamble's (PG) fiscal Q1 setup is favorable with its topline likely driven by improving US consumption trends, UBS said in a note Thursday. The Q1 results are due on Oct. 22.

The note also said the disconnect between shipment and consumption from last quarter is unlikely to repeat, expecting the firm to meet its fiscal 2027 organic sales growth outlook.

The report said it would not be surprised if management points to the lower half of its 2027 EPS guidance range should inflation persist as P&G is not immune to cost pressures.

"A solid start to the year, coupled with easier comparison looking ahead, should provide greater confidence in P&G's ability to return to consistent +LSD/MSD organic sales growth," it said.

UBS kept its buy rating with a price target of $172.
