Venture Global (VG) new power agreements with GE Vernova (GEV) and Baker Hughes (BKR) are expected to accelerate the buildout of its island-mode industrial power network and support the company's plans to develop large-scale AI infrastructure, UBS Securities said Thursday in a report.
The agreements cover up to 16 additional 720-megawatt power island units and associated grid equipment, creating a pathway for the company to develop as much as 10 gigawatts of compute capacity over time, potentially supporting adjacent digital infrastructure, the report said.
Management indicated that the added units could form the foundation of Venture Global's planned AI-focused power platform, expanding on its existing 4.5-gigawatt fleet of modular, gas-fired generation assets, the report said.
UBS said the expanding power platform represents a "compelling adjacent growth business with attractive economics."
UBS maintained its buy rating on Venture Global stock and its $21 price target.
