EDU Holdings (ASX:EDU) renewed its on-market buyback program for a 12-month period to Oct. 19, 2027, allowing the company to repurchase up to about 12.5 million shares, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The buybacks are subject to the rolling 10/12 limit under Australian market rules, and the company expects capacity under that limit to become available from Feb. 17, 2027. However, EDU Holdings plans to seek shareholder approval to allow repurchases under the program to start earlier, per the filing.

The company said it bought back and cancelled about 3.3 million shares under its on-market buyback program during the 12 months through Oct. 12.

Shares of EDU Holdings fell 6% in recent Monday trade.
