ASML's Fiscal Q3 Results Show AI Infrastructure Demand Strengthening, Citrini Research Says

ASML's (ASML) recent fiscal Q3 financial results support the view that artificial intelligence infrastructure demand is strengthening, despite the declines in stock prices for many companies in the sector this October, Citrini Research said in a Monday note.

The company said that customers are raising their equipment requirements and expressing interest in orders for as late as 2029 and 2030, Citrini analysts said.

Further, the analysts noted that ASML expects that its currently planned supply will be unable to meet demand in 2027 and 2028.

The analysts forecast wafer-fab equipment spending to reach $270 billion to $300 billion, adding that if their projections prove right, equipment suppliers in the industry should benefit "substantially," despite having gone through some of the largest share price declines, according to the note.
