MT Newswires Live10:32

Toyota Motor (TYO:7203) and Honda Motor (TYO:7267) have resumed vehicle production at their plants in Thailand following temporary shutdowns caused by recent flooding, Nikkei Asia reported Tuesday.

Toyota halted operations at three plants due to disruptions in component supplies. As supplies recovered, the Japanese automaker resumed production at its Samrong plant last Wednesday, followed by its Gateway plant on Friday and Ban Pho plant on Monday, the news outlet said.

Honda also restarted vehicle production in Thailand last Friday, according to the report.

Toyota and Honda did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
