Microsoft's (MSFT) Azure and M365 show robust demand supporting continued momentum into fiscal Q1 2027, with the narrative around the company materially improving following last quarter's results and initial fiscal 2027 guidance, Morgan Stanley said in a Monday note.

Azure sees continued demand across core cloud and artificial intelligence workloads, as Microsoft benefits from IT budget share gains, Morgan Stanley said.

M365 too sees continued strength in E3-to-E5 level upgrades, with security remaining a key driver, according to the note.

Morgan Stanley said that Microsoft's differentiation in moving beyond any individual model to the infrastructure, data-context, orchestration, and application layers surrounding it, broadens the company's opportunity to monetize AI across the stack.

Morgan Stanley has an overweight rating and $600 price target on the company.
