Metis TechBio Enters Collaboration With Eli Lilly for LNP-Based Delivery Solutions

Metis TechBio (HKG:7666) entered into a strategic collaboration with Eli Lilly for the R&D of novel lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-based delivery solutions designed to enable tissue-specific delivery of therapeutic modalities.

Metis TechBio will leverage its AI-driven ionizable lipid discovery and optimization platform, AiLNP for the project, while Lilly will contribute its expertise in drug discovery, development, and commercialization, a Monday bourse filing showed.

Metis TechBio will be eligible to receive an upfront payment in the low double-digit millions of U.S. dollars, as well as up to $1.1 billion in development, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments.

The company will also potentially receive single-digit tiered royalties based on annual net sales of products resulting from the collaboration.
