Uber Rolling Out ChatGPT Work to More Than 30,000 Employees

MT Newswires Live01:00

Uber Technologies (UBER) said Thursday it is rolling out OpenAI's ChatGPT Work, an AI agent within ChatGPT Enterprise, to more than 30,000 employees, up from a pilot of 1,000.

The company called it its first company-wide deployment of an agentic platform for knowledge work. The tool links with Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack, and will run on OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Sol model by default.

Uber said it will back the rollout with an internal AI skills library and employee training. Engineers will continue to use OpenAI's Codex.

The companies plan to share adoption data and outcomes as the rollout progresses.
