Boot Barn (BOOT) is expected to report a fiscal Q2 earnings per share that would be roughly in-line with consensus, and reiterate its fiscal 2027 EPS guidance range of $8.80 to $9.23, UBS Securities said in a Thursday note.
The investment firm said stock move will depend on Boot Barn's fiscal Q3-to-date comparable sales growth update, given that trends may have decelerated as the company laps sequentially more difficult compares, according to the note.
The company is expected to issue a Q3 comp sales guidance of flat to 2% growth year-on-year, with industry data implying that Q3-to-date comp sales are trending in the area of low-single digit decline, UBS said.
"While we see a balanced upside-downside skew around the event, we believe Boot Barn has underappreciated long-term growth potential," analysts wrote.
The company is scheduled to post its fiscal Q2 results on Oct. 28.
UBS Securities lowered its price target to $232 from $272, and maintained its buy rating on the stock.
