Hong Kong added 18 new strategic enterprise partners, including Nasdaq-listed fintech company Solana and healthcare giant Johnson & Johnson, Financial Secretary Paul Chan said Thursday.

The latest batch brings the city's total strategic enterprises to 142. Collectively, the companies are projected to inject HK$84 billion in investment and create about 27,000 jobs.

The first six batches have exceeded investment targets by 30% and job creation expectations by 34%, occupying more than 2.8 million square feet of commercial and industrial space.

The latest batch spans artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, new energy, healthcare, and fintech, with half of the new partners from mainland China and the rest from overseas.
