Unitree Robotics (SHA:688836), officially known as Yushu Technology, is working on an artificial intelligence system feedback loop that would allow robots to independently manage tasks such as writing code and running simulations, the South China Morning Post reported Thursday, citing founder Wang Xingxing.
The "self-evolving" loop is part of the company's "Unitree Rehearsal" project, which aims to shift robots from labor-intensive manual programming to a continuous, automated cycle, Wang said during an AI conference in Hangzhou, China, according to the report.
Wang said he expects less human intervention when it comes to writing code and manual debugging amid the improvement of AI models. He forecasted days ago that advances in OpenAI's GPT-6 model could bring a wider breakthrough in the robotics industry within a year or two, the media outlet said.
