0234 GMT - CSL's appointment of Deborah Waterhouse as chief executive raises several concerns at Macquarie. One of the investment bank's analysts writes in a note that they like the prospect of Waterhouse continuing the Australian pharmaceutical company's commercial momentum. However, they point out that she has no plasma or rare-disease experience, and that CSL's core businesses have a wide therapeutic and commercial scope. They also observe that Waterhouse has also never been in a public-markets facing role and will be located in the U.K., far from CSL's core manufacturing and major markets. Macquarie has a neutral rating on the stock and a target price of 174.00 Australian dollars. Shares are down 0.2% at A$195.64.
