RTX’s Collins Aerospace Launches Tower MicroELITE at San Bernardino Airport

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, has launched its Tower MicroELITE (TME) surveillance solution, a secure and scalable digital display system designed to enhance situational awareness for air traffic controllers.

San Bernardino Airport (SBD) became the first airport to deploy Tower MicroELITE. The deployment provides integrated surveillance data tracking needed to accommodate a rapid increase in airspace operations.

Tower MicroELITE has also received FAA System Design Approval as an Airborne Position Reference Tool (APRT). The approval makes the system available for deployment at eligible FAA Contract Tower airports and privately operated air traffic control facilities.
