Encounter Resources Intersects Further High-Grade Niobium Mineralization at Western Australia Prospect

Encounter Resources (ASX:ENR) intersected further thick and high-grade niobium mineralization at the Joyce prospect, within the Aileron project in Western Australia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Air-core drilling returned 6 meters at 3.4% niobium pentoxide from 127 meters to end of hole, part of 45 meters at 1.2% niobium pentoxide from 88 meters to end of hole, and 2 meters at 3.9% niobium pentoxide from 52 meters, part of 63 meters at 0.7% niobium pentoxide from 52 meters, the filing said.

Follow-up infill drilling will define the dimensions, continuity, and depth extent of the high-grade zone to support a maiden mineral resource estimate at the prospect, per the filing.

Shares rose 2% in afternoon trade Wednesday.
