NVIDIA, Microsoft, Merck KGaA Collaborate on AI Patient Support Model

NVIDIA (NVDA), Microsoft (MSFT), Dawn Health, and German science and tech firm Merck KGaA are collaborating to create a model for patient support programs, the latter said Wednesday.

Merck KGaA said the companies intend to combine artificial intelligence services and digital health product design, pharmaceutical and clinical expertise, and enterprise technology to make patient support more personalized and responsive.

Merck KGaA said it is designing an integrated support ecosystem targeted to the needs of people living with rare tumors, their disease state, and circumstances.

The company said it plans to pilot the model in key European markets once technical feasibility is confirmed and regulatory requirements are met, initially focusing on rare tumors, specifically desmoid tumors and neurofibromatosis type 1 with plexiform neurofibromas.
